Small World & Great News ^^

Yesterday night I went for my friends’ birthday celebration at Tower Bridge Bar, KL and we had an awesome night. Never to admit, I am really not a good drinker. I can easily turn red in just a few sips. If I could have taken more, then getting drunk is my ending. LOL!!!

A picture of my friends which i hang out with yesterday night!! There are still more of them but our group picture was not nicely taken. And so, I prefer to load this one. =)

By the way, my great news is….. There is this one of my friend which I was hopping to get her a guy of her dream, finally shocked me. Before she comes to my house, she told me that she will bring this guy along and she told me that this guy was a guy that I knew too.  At first, I didn’t feel anything suspicious to them until they shared the same face towel. I was surprisingly SHOCKED!!!  I ask them, “Are you guys in a relationship?” and the answer is “YES”!!! WOW!! I am really so happy for them.

The girl on your right is the friend which I was talking about and I hope that good lucks passes around. I hope that the birthday girl would find her prince too.
And this is her boyfriend!!! Really feel so happy for her. =)

You saw the girl on my left side? I mean my left means on your right. She is Mun Leng. I really agreed that it’s always been a small world after all. I just get to know her yesterday and I realize that she was a girl who studied in the same primary school as me. Although I don’t know her well in primary school but I was really glad that I made friends with her yesterday. I think this is our faith. I really must appreciate our relationship!
Elaine who is on my right, she got a new hair cut and surprisingly from yesterdays’ conversation I realize that she is a hakka girl. She speaks hakka at home just like I do. Just feel so amazing that we have one thing in common.

Handmade Millet & Sweet Potato Bread

Hi!! Yoohoo!!! Guess what.... I woke up around 9.30am in the morning and the best thing is I have no classes today!! I guess today is a great day for me to do baking!!!  Bread, bread, bread…  My top failure!!  So I guess today I will bake BREAD!! Never to give up you see. =p

OK! The bread that I’m baking today is “Millet & Sweet Potato Bread”.

Taadaa!!! This is my Millet & Sweet Potato Bread!!

Below are the ingredients that I use:-
500g high protein flour
6g instant dry yeast
100g cooked millet
100g cooked sweet potato *boil it with water*
1 tsp salt
80g brown sugar
220-250ml ice water
50g butter (cut into cubes) *keep it in the fridge until you use it*

For your information, we will need to cook the millets, so below is the method:-
* You may get this Millets in any organic shop*

Put 200g millets, 300ml water, 3tbsp sugar, 20g butter into a pot and bring to boil over high heat. Lower the heat and cook until millet is soft and dry like the picture shown above.

This is how your dough should be. Smooth and elastic!!!

This is where you start to seperate your dough into 2 portions after the 2 hours proofing process.

Baking in the oven at 180 degrees Celcius for 30-35 minutes.

Process Done!

After bread is completely cooled down. You may cut it into slices and keep it in a tupperware.

Methods will be shared here:-
1) Combine all ingredients (except butter) and mix into a dough.
2) FYI, I am not using a bread mixer so i will need to mix the ingredient with my hands. After mixing the ingredients when it turns into a dough, you will need to flip the dough foward then fold it over. It will be rather sticky at the beginning but just continue mixing it until the dough is smooth and elastic. (p/s: if you are using a bread mixer, just beat it until the dough is smooth and elastic)
3) Add in butter and continue to mix until dough is smooth and elastic.
4) Cover with a plastic bag and proof for 2 hours.
5) Divide the dough into 2 portions and round up into a cyclinder shape.
6) Place dough into greased loaf tins and cover with plastic bag. Leave it to proof for 1 hour.
7) Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees celcius for 30-35 minutes.
8) Remove the loaves from tins and place onto wire rack to cool.

~ Journey @ Macau & Hong Kong ~

TAADAA!!!! Delicious isn’t it? This was what I have on the first night of my HK trip. The food was really good. Should really try this out. But, sad to say, I really couldn’t remember which restaurant I went into. I just knew that it was somewhere near SOGO shopping complex at Causeway bay. I hope this can help. =p

Here are my precious!!! This is what "WE" bought on our second day in HK. I know it’s a little crazy but it’s JULY in HK. Its "SALES TIME"!!! What we got to do is just grab, grab and grab. It’s considered good that I did not load the clothes that I have bought. I think that will definitely freak you out.

Yeay!!! Sandals of the day!!! We buy and we wear. That's our Birkenstocks!!! ;)

We took a Ferry ride from HK to Macau which cost us about HK$150-200 per person. It only takes about one hour to reach Macau. Anyway I think Ferry ride is really not my type because I really got a terrible seasick during that ride. I don’t know whether is it because of the rain or is it because of me myself. But if I get to choose, I really prefer to put cruising as my last option.

Here we go!! We took many pictures at the Ruins of St. Paul. This is just a picture of its front and back. By the way, you manage to get many yummy snacks on the leading way to the Ruins of St. Paul like the Almond Cookies or the Portuguese egg tarts. There are other varieties of snack samplings around that food street. You may even buy it as a souvenir.

We took our Gondola ride inside the Venetian, Macau. The price was around HK$118. The Gondoliers will serenade you as you take a leisurely ride through. The gondolier told me that, if couples kiss under the bridge that they ride through, then their love will last forever. I don’t know whether it’s for sure? But, I rather believe than not to so, I DID IT!!  Hopefully our loves last forever. =)

Restaurant Platao is a restaurant that serves Portuguese foods. The foods are really delicious. Oh, by the way did you see a crab inside the picture. Just to say that, whenever there is my boyfriend, crab is one of the dishes that will comes along. Crab is just one of his favorite foods. There is once he has eaten 30 crabs in one month. Is really CRAP right?

A Family Picture at Macau!!
