Location: Surfers Paradise, Gold Coast, Australia
Hi, do you guys feel weird that I wrote a date and location above? I usually don’t do that but I really must admit that I’m getting older and I’m always having short term memory loss problem. Please don’t laugh at me!! Arhh… Btw, the dates above doesn’t represents the date I wrote this blog… OFCOURSE~ it actually represents where this incident happened.
Sometimes really would like to share my feelings with my friends but talking about our loves ones, it’s really difficult at times. There are friends who are definitely willing to listen to you but sometimes I feel embarrassing of sharing these with my friends. So… end up, I decided to share my feelings in my blog.
As stated on the date above, I made a short trip to Gold Coast to meet up with Brendan. He was at Brisbane for his business trip on the 19th March 2012 therefore; he requested me to meet him up during the weekends so that he could bring me around for a short trip in Gold Coast. I have always wanted to go to Movie World and Dream World in Aussie but always didn’t have the chance to make it happen. I have always been bugging Brendan to take me there and my dream finally reveal this time.
I was really satisfied with all the arrangements that he did for me from top to toe. For example the air tickets arrangement, room reservations, foods that we ate, and activities arranged for that week.
These are some delicious meal that has gone through way deep down into our stomach and it is really awesome. Definitely we do eat fast food as well but there is nothing much to be excited about so I didn’t capture any picture of that.
Chinese Seafood Restaurant @ Surfers Paradise!
Pancakes on the rocks @ Gold Coast!
Italian Restaurant @ Brisbane
Anyway talking about Movie World and Dream World, I really enjoyed myself in Movie World compared to Dream World. I think I really need to admit that I’m too old to be in Dream World as I think it’s more of a theme park for kids. However, this thrill ride do impressed me. I am being forced by Brendan to take this ride. When the ride ends, my hands are freaking sweaty. I know it’s embarrassing to say it out though. LOL!!
Our Sandals of the day!
When you first step in Dream world, you will see this..
But before we could continue with our day, we need to boost up ourselves with FOOD!!!! Brendan has been driving all the way from Brisbane to Gold Coast for an hour so, once we step into Dream World; we immediately had our HOT DOGS for breakfast!!! It’s super huge!! It’s even bigger than my hand. See…
I ate it all anyway... LOL!!!
Oh, Can you see? I fed those kangaroos!!! At first I was a little scared on giving them a pat but Brendan gave me the courage to pat them. He proves to me that they make no harm to me so I ended up patting those kangaroos and in fact giving them a scratch on their forehead. It’s really fun!! But…….., your hand will have “ROO SMELLS”!!! LOL!!
First picture you can see the distance of me from the kangaroo. I'm SCARED!
Second picture which I tried to feed them.
And finally manage to scatch its forehead!!!
YEAY!!! We finally got closer and we become friends!!! LOL!!
(TRY TO COMPARE BACK WITH THE 1ST PICTURE)
This is Brendan feeding the Roos~
Cute cute Kola Bear~
White Tiger~ It's beautiful~
Woooooooolffffieeee~~~ Both has lots of interaction. Turning their head back and front at the same time.
Lazy kangaroo~~ look at his pose~~ couldn’t stand!!! LOL!!!
Found this cute foot prints on the walk way so intended to snap it down with my leg in it. LOL!
We are trying to act like kids at Dream World!! Car Car!!! But…., I think Brendan manage to make it!!! LOL!!!
Central Park Station is the place we took the tram to see thoes animals.
3D motion master. Could you see Brendan's face? It actually shows the answer. It's bored and not exciting at all. As I said before, I think it's more suitable for kids.We are OLD!!!
Last picture I took in Dream World with a statue clown!
However we spend our day till the maximum at Dream World and we left home for a nap. Later in the evening, we went for our delicious dinner at the main street of Surfers. While we walk along the main street of Surfers, we saw many corps went rounding around. Instead of feeling the street is unsafe; we totally feel the opposite way. We end up walking along the beach all the way back to our hotel.
I really enjoyed our night beach walk because I really couldn’t do this in Malaysia. In Malaysia, I will need to drive over to the beach and walking on the beach is definitely a NO! It feels scary to walk on the beach at night in Malaysia as its dark and the wind that blows over is not cool either.
At least there are lights switch on along Surfers Beach, so we feel safe walking there. Besides, I like the way the cool wind blows on our faces, and both of us walking bare footed on the sands. We hold each others hands together with our sandals on the other hand and just walk, walk, and walk. We do play the couple activities like throwing sands on each other and it’s really FUN!!!
By the way, we spend two nights at Surfers, so we went strolling at the beach for two nights continuously. On the first night, I did not wet my feet with the sea waters but on the second night, Brendan told me that walking on wet sand makes a good scrub for our feet!!! And it’s FREE!!! So… I wet my feet!!! Besides, it feels warmer to walk on wet sand because it’s quite windy during the night. I do feel cold.
A picture which I snap using my iPhone. It’s not really clear but it’s good enough for me to keep it as a memory.
To be continued…
hi..good day. I am koh. currently planning a trip to gold coast can you give me some suggestion especially the accommodation. tq
ReplyDeleteHi Koh, good day to you too! I stayed at "THE SHORE APARTMENT" when I was at Gold Coast. Just don't put too high expectation on it but for the price I paid, I am alright with it. It's near to the beach and you can walk over to the to the nearby shopping centre. You can consider! =)
